Wheel. I'm making probably over 300 with 25 pounds on this... It runs when it happens, pulls hard and sounds normal.

I will limit it for now.

You guys are all talking the RS, which is 50hp less powerful then the 2871.

Torque breaks rods. Torque is directly related to RPMs. As long as your tune brings on the power gradually enough (AKA later spool) your rods will probably be quick. Far more K04's/FT's break rods because of the instant spool/high torque at a lower RPM than a large turbo. You can still have a 300whp car, it just depends if your tune spools at 3000rpm or 4200rpm, which usually won't affect the total power the engine can make at a higher rpm

Mine comes on like 3500. Full boost at 4200 revs.

Seems kinda late for a 2871 from what I've seen and discussed, but that's a good thing for stock rods. The later the spool the lower the torque spike, the safer the rods.

              C2's tune is... Weird.

Also somehow in getting better millage now with 550cc injectors then before with stock.

You will get better mileage because the turbo spools later, meaning you burn less fuel driving around normally.

Spool has nothing to do with the tune though, you've got something going on if full boost is coming on that late. My 3076 is making full boost by then

Your N75 (or similar electronic boost controller) can certainly open the wastegate sooner to start bleeding off pressure while the turbo is spooling. That along with engine timing can certainly alter spool time and made a turbo like this spool late and make it a "rod safe" tune.

I can't seem to find diddly on this tune information wise.

25+PSI seems unsafe, especially for a tune that boasts 280hp... Also not sure if its just 25, my gauge maxes at 25... Definitely spools slow though, car starts off the line like a lawnmower until 3000, then I hit maybe 5PSI, then full boost at 4000-4200. I usually only 3/4 push my pedal in and generate and hold 15PSI. I am also running Shell V-Power 91, hopefully thats not also an issue.

I emailed C2 Motorsports to ask if this is normal or if something may be wrong. VAGcom doesn't say the n75 is borked tho.

280whp? crank? 280whp is doable on stock internals.

                      Could have an exhaust leak...

                        No exhaust leak.

I know 280 is doable, I was looking for 300. I'm saying with that much boost it must be over 300.

I got an email back from C2

                        " Kyle,
The stage 5 tune has a target of 25-27 psi. If you would like to lower the boost please run a manual controller or adjust your wastegate to a lower cracking pressure.

                        Thanks,

Yeah you can just plumb in a MBC in parallel to the N75 to limit the max pressure you will see in the system. Just put it to the lowest setting and gradually raise it to the max boost pressure that you want to see

we can all sit here and take a guess as to what the car is doing, or you can go out and log a good 3rd gear pull and see what its actually doing, there is allot more to power than just boost, and im sure C2 has the tune set safe for the stock internals.
