Best Calgary BMW Shop?

Well I needed a daily driver for the next year, and I've always liked 'em so I bought Colin's e46 M3

Now that I have it home there are a few maintenance things I would like done and of course have a mechanic look it over to make sure everything is kosher.

Who's knowledgeable about these in Calgary, does anyone have someone they can recommend me to personally? I really want it to be someone who knows e46 M3's inside and out.

Witek's Autowerks. I've know him for close to 15 years. He is the best. His shop is just off edm trail and 32ndNE. Nurbergring is also good. Miro and his son Nick are great techs. Known them for just over 10 years. By chinook LRT. If you want personal, this is as good as it gets. Sheni's isn't too bad either but Witek is too of the list.

Actually, I think it's Vitek's but he spells his name with a W.

Yep, Nick is definitely a good guy. I'm going to be taking the E30 there soon.

i guess the big difference between the 2 is Witek is in his mid/late 30's where Nick is in his 20's. that doesn't mean Nick is less knowledgeable, just less experienced. although Nicks dad Miro is awesome, so he clearly learned well. Nick was about 12 or 13 when i met him lol. he's come a long way. Witek and i did our apprentiship together in the 90's and he spent a bunch of years at BMW. between the 2 of them, they have the nicest e30's in the city. both shops are highly recommended.

As someone who asked and researched the same question a few months ago on the local Alberta BMW Forum, the consensus is definitely split 50/50 between Witeks and Nurburgring. My guess is you cant go wrong with either. I've been for a ride in Nick's E30 (even got him to join the forum but he hasn't really been active). Would love to meet Witek one day and see his masterpiece!

I used nurmburgring ( Nick's family shop) when I had my e30. Service was good, BUT they kept filling my battery with bottled water and ruined my battery as it was frozen solid when winter came....... So i had to buy a new one. That's why I haven't used them again.

If I had a e46 m3, I would take it to Calgary motorwerks or tunerworks. I have heard nothing but great things about both of them. And they are both super knowledgeable.

Sorry but who are you?
We have never filled any batteries with water lol. You do know that when a battery has not been maintained properly or is low on charge the sulferic acid and electrolyte mixture inside seperates and is why your battery froze.

Thanks but I witnessed with my own eyes, an older gentleman there put bottled water into my battery.
It doesn't matter anymore it was like 8 years ago.

Wasnt me then, i definatly wasnt an older gentleman back then nor am i now.
