its still on mine, holds up to the heat just fine. its rated at 600celcius.
Are you certain about that temperature range or is it one of those plastidip myths that gets passed around and over exaggerated??
From what I read (http://www.plastidip.com/docs/plastidip_uv.pdf) plastidip has an upper limit of 200F. That is FAR different than 600C. Your engine block temps are at or above that operating temperature usually, so I would be willing to bet that there might be some problems here with using plastidip for engine block components

seems i dont know the difference between a 2 and a 6, you are right it is rated at +200F, it seems to cope with my urs4's engine bay heat though.
its been on there 6months and its not peeling or bubbling yet.

Interesting, wouldn't expect that at all. Do you expect there to be any additional hinderances such as making it harder to peel off or anything like that?
the dip can dry out over time making it harder to peel off your looking at about a year on the outside in calgary's dry climate.
There was a car at Wuste that was plasti dipped and he was asking everyone to help peel it. It came off in dime size pieces and was very hard to peel due to baking in the Vegas sun.

When plastidiping a total car, it needs to me laid on thick. Same thing happen with my old hood.
