White or Gunmetal. Plastidip is cheap and is sort of becoming played out but not everyone has the money to powdercoat wheels on a 20 year old car.
my thoughts on this my urs4 is 19 years old fading paint and peeling clear coat. why would i spend 5k on full respray and 2k on bbs wheels when you can dip the whole car and stock wheels for $400
plasti dip can look tacky if its not done well. a well sprayed one is hard to tell apart from vinyl wrap.
Haters gonna hate. Do what you like and screw what others think. In the end its your car and you need to be happy. Plastidip is a cheap way to have a change without the commitment and spending a lot of cash. If done correctly, you wouldnt be able to tell the difference. Its about making a car yours and what you like. I have white RS6 reps and next to another powdercoated white wheel, the look the same. Yes, you do see more people running with Plastidip but thats because of the benefits that come with it but in no way can I say its tacky. That's my opinion.

i'll show you where mine is peeling now at the next meet thats the only reason i may peel it off... but then try a different color haha.. my paint sucks the car is 12 years old.. not a big deal anymore to me..
My winters are 18" mille miglia i got cheap last year and they are going to be dipped red. our winters are so long here in Edmonton that i have always hated looking boring for half of the year and the plasti dip has given us all an economical alternative.
Agreed^
Honestly if I was you I would do two colors, eg: gunmetal on driver's side then green on the passenger side, because you cannot see both sides at the same time so if you like both colors you can try this out.

Experiment away with plastidip Kenny. I would go with the olive green or gunmetal. But camo/olive may be more personal to you and after all it is your car. For the haters he could get the 5 cans of dip, spacers and springs for the price of powder coating the wheels. From 500 feet, 20 feet and even 2 feet away that is the best bang for the buck visually for a 20+ year old car.
I just wanted to bring up some concerns for those planning to do this before you go through with it. Everyone should know that there are differences between paint/powdercoating/plastidip including:
- How easy is it to clean? Doesn't it get caked with brake dust? I know with powdercoating or painting a simple spray down and wipe usually cleans up brake dust extremely well and prevents staining, unlike some of the plastidipped wheels i have had the pleasure of viewing.
- Really how easy is plastidip to remove guys? Last i heard it comes off in very small chunks, and requires an hour to remove from a single wheel.
Based on my experience with plasti-dip. The stuff is insanely porous, it loves to attract dirt / dust. And cleaning it is a bit more than a simple hose off, if you're too close with a pressure washer or too rough with a brush you'll tear the plasti-dip. That said if you are careful and patient it can be cleaned.
Removing it can be a huge pain in the arse. If you haven't sprayed it thick enough then it's going to be a slow and painful process. Removing it from the winter wheels took forever as there were some poorly coated spots and it was coming off very slowly. Also if your wheels have any kind of curb rash you'll be at it for a while.
