Post Fahrfromehome Engine Bay Cleaning Up

Hey all, just thought I'd share some pictures of what I did AFTER Fahrfromhome (literally as soon as I got home I started) because I was so inspired to make my engine bay pop!

Here's a pic of how it was at Fahrfromhome for those of you who haven't seen it:



And here is after!






I painted my intake to match my engine cover, Installed my towhook (painted the inside of the recieving part red, and the towhook the same blue as my intake and engine cover), re-tinted my fog lights as the old stuff was peeling and looking terrible, the guard along the top of my engine bay I did white, my battery cover red and the panel on the far right I stickerbombed!!

Ummm. Sorry but I was hoping you would return the engine cover to black not paint more stuff!!! Oh well. As long as you like it I guess!!!!

To each his own! I like the bright colours and whatnot, some guys like the plain stock looking stuff, not for me to say but I really like the way it turned out!
ps: was that you in the rs4 on sunday? I'm still trying to learn who everyone is/what they drive!

I reckon red would look great but blue and red is a great contrast. Good job!

Sticker bombing is pretty whack, just my opinion. Usually when i see a sticker bomb, i think somebody is hiding something gross under it (Probably not in your case)

Looks good, i think I would have done the whole back cover in red though.

Not really a fan, have to say. I thought the engine cover looked extremely out of place. Maybe take a look at some other cleaned up engine bays to see what can be easily done to the engine to make it look BETTER, not just make random stuff stand out. Pats is a good example

Also can't edit on my phone but that europlate, kinda tacky IMO, not the fact that its a europlate, just the phrase on it. But if you like it

Hmm.. Not just random stuff.. I just liked the colour scheme, I like the colour scheme and don't have money for much more besides paint..
And it's odd you don't like my plate, everyone else thinks its good. Idk.

i like it.. the plate is a bit off as i really don't think there is much of a i hate honda war vs euros like there was 10 years ago but if you like it thats all that matters

I dont think it looks terrible, but I also dont think it looks great. The blue really kills it for me. I think if you went with white to color match your wheels and kept a consistent white on red theme across the whole car it would look great. The blue just seems out of place for me. Just an idea.

But i'm also one that usually goes against the crowd and says dont worry about others opinion. Do what you want to your car. You're not obligated to please anyone but yourself!

As for the plate, I dont mind it. Kinda funny, but be careful taking your foot out of your mouth one day when you get your ass handed to you by a modded Vtec on the highway lol
