06 Audi A3 rt rear wheel noise

Hey guys, just had a look at my buddy's A3, right rear wheel has a constant hum...goes away when turning right, constant and reasonably loud in a straight line or turning left. Any tests for a wheel bearing? Roughly 25000kms on the tires...evenly wearing, alignment seems good.
Ideas???

Lift that corner and try and wiggle the wheel, hands at 9 and 3 then at 12 and 6.

If theres play, bearing.

Yeah, did that after I started the thread, 12 and 6 there's a bit of play, thx Colin
