    Re: Kenny's UrS4

Thanks Rob. This was by far the most challenging project I've undertaken. It was suspose yo be a simple turbo swap on a weekend. It was my first timing belt job, head removal, head rebuild, valve job, and more I've ever done. Had tons of help from so many friends which I'm greatful for. It was a learning experience for sure.

And she lives! No big issues, need to calibrate the TPS and the WB. For now the ISV is unplugged and idle is steady at 1000rpm

Tomorrow is the day. I'm a little scared to start it up lol. I know things are good but still worried. So much hard, I need this to run.

This car will not be seeing snow lol. Need to fire it up, make sure the tune is bang on and then drive it for a couple hundred km then oil change and park it.

Had a mix up with valves. The ones shipped were again 5 of one brand and 5 of another for the exhaust. So tomorrow I will be getting another 5 and what ever brand can add up to 10 will be the one to go in.

Tonight I cut all the turbo and exhaust manifold studs to size and did a test fit of the manifold. All is ready. Put anti seize on all the studs as well. More valve lapping tomorrow and hopefully it's ready for the final clean Thursday and I can get it back Friday.

Sorry for lack of pictures, if anything this thread keeps me on track of what I've completed so far incase I forget....WP bolts need loctite still

Started lapping in the Intake valves today. All by hand, no drill here. It's not bad. Its relaxing in a way lol.
