    Car died last night, why?

    car is my 01 s4, 3- jfonz. any who, i was driving home from work and did a first to second gear pull from a light and after i shifted to 2nd the car died, i still had power but the engine shut off. i had it towed to autobahn performance and they will look at it but im wondering if any one has any ideas.

    the car has had a problem with power draw and if i leave it to sit over night the batt will die. so ive been disconnecting it at night. other then that the car was running great. no boost leaks ect, some leaking seals but nothing out of the norm.

    any help would be great,

    Because S4.

    How is timing belt etc?

      timing belt is due for replace in about 20k it was last done at 181 and now sitting at 261.

            The Power draw would most likely be a short. Did you check any fuses? Any Codes?

              Low load signal (MAF)

                I never checked the fuses, I just called a tow truck.

                  I did scan with my torque app on phone and got nothing.

                    Fuel pump, still running stock or upgraded. Stock pumps get picky about 5 bar tunes

                      Stock pump and I've also never changed filter, would this cause the engine to die at the snap of your fingers,

                        If your fuel pump crapped out then definitely yes.
