thanks again Erik. like i said, i already bought one with the 3.0. my wife wanted something similar to the rabbit. due to time constraints, the B7 out of my price range and it having to be a manual, this fits the bill perfectly. me and a friend are doing the timing belt in the next couple of weeks. the engine doesn't really feel all that sluggish for what it's being used for. i can keep the winters from my rabbit too. there are a couple minor issues that won't be difficult to sort out but overall, we're really happy with it.
