After seeing both Jason and Rods cars in the last two weeks with the Depo's I have decided stop putting off the installation of the set I have in the basement. I have a few questions about the setup to take advantage of the city light. How do you have yours working as far as the switch positions? Any installation tips for the Canadian conversion?

Re: B5 S4 Depo/Valeo/E-codes on our Canadian Cars...A Few quesions?
Wiring all depends on how you want the light to work.. easy way to have it on with side markers is to simply splice the wire going to them (have to test which is DRL, which is signal) other choice is to cut that DRL line to the signals and run it straight to the city. I dont have mine wired at all... I coudlnt find a bulb that I liked the output of enough. (regular bulb came off really bland/yellow, while LED I had was super blue)

At the time I grabbed an LED from Canadian Tire... but that was many many years ago... and there are quite a few more LED's on the market now. Should be easier to find one that isnt bright blue. More of an HID color perhaps.

Any one Know what this lead is for ( the brown, black, blue tiny connector)?
Just opened the back of of my Deee-Codes to pull the city light for LED replacement and found this unattached connector. Can someone enlighten me?

I was able to get a the headlights wired with a 5 diode LED In the City light position and wired them in the DLR position. I really like how they light up the whole housing even with the projectors on. The LED is surprisingly bright.
Thanks for the tips and links.

Oh the front end has its fair share of bullet holes and sand blasted windshield, just not showing in pictures. I was blown away when I switched out the headlight at how much damage there was and 95% of it has been in the last 2 years. Was pristine before the last 3 years on Calgary roads where the city thinks sand is 3/4 inch crusher run. This is the reason my b8 stays on the Vancouver Island. One month in March took out a mirror and windshield, so back to the island it went and the b5 has been in the **** ever since. The car only has a hair over 100,000 km and the first 75k was in Van or on the Island so that helps. I am surprised that some of you that are over 300k even have any paint left on your cars at all.
Honestly what is with the **** they put on the roads here? Mixture of mud and gravel? And with all the heaving and cracking on the roads there has to be more gravel on top of the asphalt than underneath . It must break the hearts of people with high end exotics only to be able to drive 2 weeks of the year.
