audi 2.7t catch can install
thought i take on the task of installing the Catch can i bought a few months ago. i bought the can from 42 Draft designs ( http://www.42draftdesigns.com/catego...catchcans.html) I went with the stealth can in wrinkle black. then i bought some 3/4 inch hose and clamps to replace the olde 1/2 inch lines on the pcv. during the process i also deleted the f hose ( early 2001) and the check valve under the intake mani.
heres some pics of my process;
here is the pcv system i installed about 2 years ago, this replaced my busted "spider hose"
Catch can installed
my geto bracket
another angle
top angle
tear down / bye bye f hose
1/2 inch hose and 1 brass elbow to rid f hose
fitting new lines for pcv
weny under the coolant tank from CC to PCV and pancake valve
ilne off Valve cover to hose asslemby
Dvr side VC
finshed product
all in all took about 2 hours from start to finish. im happy with out come and will be doing a oil change in 2000km so ill see if its workin then.
