More Audi Diesels Coming
Audi will be bringing to L.A. four models powered by a 3.0-liter V6 TDI. An updated Q7 TDI will also be showcased.
The flagship 2014 Audi A8 TDI will arrive next spring and will return an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city / 36 mpg highway. The engine produces 240 hp (179 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque, enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 6.4 seconds.
The 2014 Audi A6 TDI will be making an appearance at the end of the month in Los Angeles, before going on sale in fall 2013. It will be available with various driver assistance systems such as head-up display, night vision and Audi pre sense plus for detecting imminent collisions and initiating protective measures.
The 2014 Audi A7 TDI will join the lineup at the same time, along with the Q5 TDI which will be getting the fourth engine variant after the 4-cylinder 2.0T, 3.0T V6 and Q5 Hybrid. A revised Q7 TDI will provide 10 percent better fuel economy compared to a gasoline engine and will feature a power boost to 240 hp (179 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It will be able to return an EPA-estimated 19 mpg city / 28 mpg highway and provide a range of more than 700 miles (1126 km).
