Which Winter Wheels and Tires Can I run on my 03 a4 1.8t quattro?

Hell Everyone, I am looking to buy some winter tires and wheels on Kijiji, but I really want to make a correct informed decision. Any insight would be most appreciated! This is the set that I am currently looking into buying, please let me in on your thoughts.

You'd need spacers to run those wheels I believe… about 15mm should do it. Someone who knows those wheels better can confirm. Either way - they're a little pricey IMHO.

Edit: BTW - you may want to check tirerack.com to get a better handle on wheel sizes that fit your car… and prices.

Most of the oem vw wheels are to small of an offset. If your set on oem look for Audi to clear without spacers. Many Mercedes wheels will fit nicely also.

Most of the oem vw wheels are to small of an offset. If your set on oem look for Audi to clear without spacers. Many Mercedes wheels will fit nicely also.

You need wheels with 35mm to 40mm offset and 5 x 112 bolt pattern.
Also, Mercedes wheels I believe have 66.6mm hubs and your Audi has 57.1mm hubs. You would then need Hubcentric rings (66.6>57.1).

Your OEM stock tires sizes should be 215/55-16 or 235/45-17 or 235/40-18.

and yes you could run the 205/50/17

it would be a bit skinny and 1/2 size taller so your odo will be off by like 5km/hr i think

thanks for all the insight, and it says my speedo would read 99 instead of 100 kph which is not a bid deal, also ryan, how much tread is left and I'm looking for wheels too.

finally bought winter tires for my car! thanks everyone for your help! Ended up buying Dunlop Winter sport 3d's with 60% tread left, should get 2 seasons... already hooked up on 17 inch asa wheels.

You know they're only good to a couple 16ths over the wear bar right? When they get down low like that you've got basically no ice braking left.

brought my uncle who knows his stuff. i go to u of c take the train mostly... car will be used to run out to sunshine for skiing. Uncle told me they have more than enough tread thanks for the heads up though
