B5 S4 got a new Butt.

Hey Eurodirvers,

This is my first post. Been following for years so it is long overdue. Just finished a stage 3 build on my s4. Took two weeks off to get it all done before heading to the states for some driving events. One the last day of the build I finished the the rear bumper mod and exhaust the morning of the day we left for the states. Just wondering what some of you think of the look? 3 inch downpipes, 200 cell magnaflow, race cats single resonator to dual 6"x 3" outlets. The rear bumper valance is my own creation from a s4 and rs6 valance the a rs4 style insert.

I'd say you nailed it, looks OEM. Even the oval tips fit well, IMO.

Thanks PRY4SNO, OEM is what i was going for. I have another spare bumper and valance and was thinking about doing it again but this time not having the valance snap off like stock but integrate it with the bumper to get rid of the seam that runs to the wheels. Here is another pic of the rear corner taken a few weeks ago down at the Bonneville salt flats. I was mixing in some race gas to get back up into the 93/94 range.

Details are coming about the trip to the states. Two weeks of taking the Stage 2 S4 to the next level (bought back in 1999, Yes original owner), then immediately into a Two week bucket list venture. Ran the salt flats for Speed Week....Track time in Las Vegas....In car time with racing instructors... head to head day driving the car back to back with a 2012 R8 V10, 2012 GT-R... I will be doing a full write up of the whole adventure as soon as I sort through all the video and photos. Definitely more to come.

Black Plastidip... that would have saved me a ton of time cutting up valances, plastic welding and carbon fiber work. Wish i would have thought of that

Here is another pic from the salt flats taken while i was waiting to do a run. A 911 had just blown the motor and they were diving the track looking for all the pieces. You would be surprised how far valve covers, springs and valves can fly at 150 mph. The pic shows how the rear was done. I think the mesh that i inserted into the s6 section really helps with airflow and stability, the car was rock solid at high speed on such a squirmy surface.

Youre the guy we saw in the parking lot in westhills last sunday while peeling the plasti dip of my wheels. Was wondering if you were part od our forums. As someone who has seen this car in person driving by, all i can say is that your exhaust looks and sounds absolutely ridiculous (in an amazingly awesome way). it sounds so deep and gargly it really blew me away. Great work man!
