Allroad radio died.. wtf

wife had the car yesterday.. went to work.. drove to a client.. radio shut off.. wouldn't turn back on
no lights,etc pioneer p4200 model..

anyways i checked it tonight.. pulled all the fuses.. pulled deck fuse.. check wiring harnesses.. replugged.. i even blew a fuse on purpose to see if voltage was there since i don't have a voltmeter..

i even swapped the stupid video dealy relay from my s4 (same deck) and even swapped the decks around and the deck works in my car

so wtf happened? i can't figure out why the damn thing has no power

power is split across though.. goes to the XM brain, steering wheel button dealy and then the deck itself

could it be the switched voltage? i dunno how to test it since i think it gets switched from canbus via the harness.. i can't remember when i installed it.. bah i may try and run a cable from under to the deck i know 75x on the fuse panel is switched 12v.. i think thats what is wrong..

not sure how it fucked up tho..

I know you can get a harness that converts the canbus power signal to a simple 12v on/off signal. You can go right from the 75x or the key sense wire if you do not have this interface box.

yea I have that harness martin.. connect2 something or other from enfig.. my guess is it shat the bed.. time to run a wire today

yea pile of **** connect 2 brain must have died.. tapped the 75x spot and ran a cable to the deck.. bingo bango.. back in business..

bah not worth 100 dollars to make stupid steering wheel buttons work
