Should add that, this car has been on for sale for a LONNGGG time. No biters, probably why he went to the dealership, I guess its a good thing that they replaced the whole engine. Unless I'm mistaken.

This Lone Star red RS4 and the bad-motor red RS4 are two totally different cars. The lone star car has never had a motor replaced and should be in great shape (yes it used to have a PES S/C on it), full Milltek exhaust with downpipes, nice 20" RS4 replicas, really a very very sharp looking car. The bad-motor RS4 has had the engine yanked (someone on here as found the Kijiji for the bad motor) and now has wheels/suspension and a bunch of other stuff done to it, not for sale right now as far as I know, he loves it for a DD.

Hmm I had opposite experience at Lone Star. Pulled up in wife's MDX, wearing shorts and Tshirt, asked to drive any AMG model, they gave me keys to an S65 AMG (V12 biturbo!!) and the salesman let me flog it, it felt equally as fast as my 996TT. Which for a massive sedan really blew my mind. I probably looked like a scrub but the salesman was new so maybe he wasn't trained in profiling people just yet. I was in the market for a fun sedan so I was legitimate, and if that S65 wasn't ugly as sin I would have considered it.

That one with the PES S/C was screaming for help.... ugliest wheels evaaaaaaar.

The Pes S/C's are necessarily unreliable (at least this one) its mainly that they picked a S/C that was too small for the engine... big cost, little gains. Now the APR one was a bit more reasonable (with better quality and tuning) but there is still room to be left on the table.. there seem to be a few more popping up here and there. (MRC... possibly JHM soon)
