Used Red RS4 @ lone Star Benz.. anyone on here ????

So funny story first.. I heard there was a Rs4 at the Benz dealer, so i make my way down there to check it out. I talk to this guy who meets me in the lobby as i entered the dealership, I tell him that i would like to see the RS4 that is out side. He kinda looks at me funny hims and haws then said ok let me grab the keys. So i make my way out side to take a closer look at the car while i wait. He opens it i get in, its in great shape, i then ask if we cold take it for a ride. He is like well I'm not sure I'll have to ask my Manager. I thought that was kinda weird so I am waiting, he comes back out to tell me " Listen buddy you want to take a ride we need to Write up a contract put a deposit then you can test it this is a rare car only 3 in Canada " At that point i was kinda thinking WTF? is it because i did not drive up in a Lambo or I 'm wearing Jeans and a Tee.. Is this Normal Practice at Lone Star ?? But i think the funniest part was when I said right to his face " Sir you just lost a sale today" and he did. My Sales Bonus at work came in and was ready to make a deal. The guy changed his tone and was chasing me to my car telling me how sorry he was, and to come back so we can drive it...

Anyway besides that BS the car looks Sick. Its lowered on 20's has a Milltek Exhaust with about 67K on it. I was wondering if it belonged to anyone on here???

lol epic fail on his part. But being it a Benz dealership I bet majority of people buying wear suits or leisure wear. Still though, just because you are wearing what you were and wanted to test drive it, why not? What a douche.

Lone Star = mega douchebags, I refuse to take my business there. Hyatt is a further drive for me but very friendly in both sales and service/parts dept.

Lone Star did this same **** to my dad about a year and a half ago. So my dad shows up, he's an older gentleman and retired, he dresses in like jeans and a polo shirt or t-shirt most days. You wouldn't know it just to look at him but he did OK at the big oil companies, there is no question that if he wants a new MB he can buy one. He spends a few minutes looking at like a SL coupe or something. Sales guy comes over, my dad asks him a few questions and then my dad asks how about a test drive? The sales guy gives him a funny look then says he has to ask the Manager. Comes back and says that they need to write up a contract first and have a cash deposit on the spot. My dad tells him to **** himself.

haha same sh*t happened to me when I went lookign at a C63 there about a year and a half ago. I was out furniture shopping and Id just returned my truck off lease (I was driving my old mans brand new ML at the time which is the funny part).

Walked in with my gf, both wearing casual clothing, and we're the only people in the dealership..I stand around in the show suite for about 20 minutes and there had to have been 2 or 3 sales folk that saw me..Eventually a dude comes up and asks if he can help me, I say Id like to take a look at the C amg..he gives me this look like I cant afford it and says he has to ask his manager..comes back with the same story (deposit or GTFO) and I said something like "Audi it is" and started walking out..

Dude comes out of the showroom after me as I'm hoping into this new ML and literally STOOD BEHIND MY CAR until I rolled down the window to say that he could make an exception...we left. Awesome sales tactics.

There is lots of dealerships like this many years back I wanted a focus svt so did all the preapproval online. Then went into the dealership Ford told me to go into to do a test.drive. I asked for a test drive and I was told that they do not do test drives on the svt, as they were telling me this one just came back in from a testdrive. So I had a good laugh then told the sales guy I was already preapproved and just here to pick up the car but wanted to drive it first before signing on the dotted line. How quick his attitude changed but I still walked out of the dealership with no car in tow. I got a call from the dealership later that day asking when I was coming in so I told them what happened and said that I would never buy a car from them or Ford. The sales guy sent me a letter stating he was sorry for his actions and offered $1500 off the price of the car what a douchebag

I think that guy replaced the engine as I saw it on Kijiji the other day. "Low compression on 2 cylinders, no idea why".

Salesmen should know that in places like Calgary especially you don't have to be an old guy wearing penny loafers to afford a high end vehicle.
