I learned that lesson young, like 14. Guy comes in and wants to look at a full carbon race bike. Dressed in tatters, but whatever had no one else in the shop. Helped him out, says he'll take it. Guy was u shaven, tears in his paint spattered shirt.

Whips out a black amex card.

9grand in bike and 2 grand in clothing and other **** later.

Mind blown.

In 2012 I am amazed that it happens a lot still. I totally understand 5-10yrs ago. However this is Calgary and both sides can happen. Tattered clothes billionaire. And 1999 sales tactics. If I was a billionaire, and going to look at cars, I wouldn't dress down, but it's their prerogative.

In sales, why limit yourself? Are there really that many lookie loo's anymore? I mean really, how many here actually have gone on test drives for the heck of it? In the last 3-5 years? Since the Internet and Good youtubes and good reviews if I ever go for a test drive nowadays, it's for a car I will be buying or to cross off list. Sales suicide to not let them out, however when you are a Benz dealer, you can do what you want apparently.

If you are 18-25, expect pissy sales people, especially with $50+k cars. Fact of life. So sorry, Move on.

Completely disagree, there are TONS of people age 20-25 who are rolling in money, especially in Alberta with the oilsands and the economy here. Everybody deserves respect no matter what they look like.

The engine is fine, but it used to be supercharged. He took the supercharger off before selling it to Lone Star. They guy who sold it to Lone Star was actually pretty anal.

:there was a red one in red deer that had 20's and exhaust done to it, had a screw come loose on the throttle butterfly and went into the motor, needles to say he traded it into Acura in Red deer and they sent it to the auction, from what ive heard its gone thru the auction multiple times since and is making its way from dealer to dealer with a **** motor, make sure its not that car, used motor was something like 16k plus install.

As others have said, judging people by what they look like is mind boggling. There's people in their 20's and 30's making easy 6 figures with nothing to spend their money on. Hell there's a lot of people that drive TRUCKS in this city worth more than 30% of the Benz's on the lot. I bet the GM dealer doesn't judge them when they come looking to buy a 80,000 (90 with extra crap) truck.

I actually had a similar experience there also. Friend was seriously considering a C-class as the price on paper looked pretty good. We went in, drove a nice vehicle in to the lot (but really who cares about that either) and could not get a sales person to help us. We even made direct eye contact and they would act like they had just forgot something in their office and turned around. He bought a Saab the same week, I'm willing to bet he would have bought the Merc if he had a chance to drive it.

I also considered an R-class but couldn't bring myself to deal with them. Again, no one would help us, just acted like we couldn't afford it. We drove our 3 year old Volvo in.

This is not the same car, yes it did have a PES SC on it, check with Jay from Tunerworks, he knows the car

I checked this car out last November. Read that PES superchargers aren't too good. APR is more reliable apparently.
