size question jetta,a4,a6

So I am looking to get rid of my jetta in favor of a audi wagon but wanted to see if the size difference between the three is enough to make a difference comfort wise. The a4 is supposed to be bigger then the jetta but does not feel any bigger, the a6 feels bigger but I am not sure if the little extra size is worth the lower gas milage.

So my question is is the a4 worth the switch or should I step up right to the A6 or don't bother because the space difference is not very noticable and keep the Jetta

what year/model of wagon?

the build quality on the audi is leaps ahead of the VW so you'll notice that for sure.. the a4 is bigger than the jetta but honestly not by much as far as back seat space goes

a6 will be much bigger

I was thinking of a b6 a4 avant with a 1.8t as gas milage should be better then my 24v jetta. I test drove a 2002 3.0 a6 and it was not enjoyable to drive at all, I found it to be underpowered and lacking in the brake department. Really the only reason I would want to make a switch is because I want a automatic so my wife is able to drive the car as she hates driving a manual transmission car. The extra space benifit is nice as well.

A4 vs Jetta, passenger space will feel the same IMO. More cargo space than a sedan in the back, both with seats down and seats up...

But compare it to a GTI/Golf and it's not much more.

Which is why we've got a GTI not an A4 Avant as our 2nd car...

I echo the sentiments the A4 is not a huge car and thus not a massive jump compared with a Jetta, however my step-mom has a 2007 A6 Avant and it is indeed a big car her issue is there is not much to replace it with now.

Some friends have an A4 avant. They love it, but were a little disappointed with hatch space. The back window has a pretty good slope to it that cuts in to the cargo capacity.

used to have a mkvi jetta, now have a B7 avant...backseat room is pretty much the same, really not buying yourself much.

With the seats down though im impressed what you can cram in there haha. My buddy has a golf (gti? same thing) and bought some artwork I had to go pick up for him because he couldnt wedge it in the hatch :P
