Well if you want price discovery check the market, there are 18 for sale in Canada on Autotrader at the moment.

      http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/pv/Used/...%2c10%2c9&st=1

High $50s for a low mileage 08 to high $30s for an 07 with 100ish kms.

There is an Imola 07 in Edmonton with 51k kms for $46,000.00. That seems to be a pretty decent mid point price and fairly low kms. The imola drops your stealth to next to zero but it's also a fairly unique color. Compare that to a sprint blue 07 in London with 30K kms for $55..

Only one RS4 on Ebay at the moment a Misano Red Pearl with 83k kms for $44..

The one in London is a member of Quattroworld if you wanted to talk to him.

is that imola one here in AB still for sale? i'd say they could go for 40-65 now depending on mileage

that being said if it was higher end of 50 i would buy a b8 s4 new instead

Thanks JPO! The 07 Imola RS4 in Edmonton is mine. It's definitley a unique colour(only 60-70 ever brought to North America). Thankfully I don't draw any unwanted attention from the police. They just think it's another Audi, like most people. Mind you, I drive pretty civil.

Yes, it's currently still for sale. The B8 S4 is nice, but a nasty N/A 4.2 V8 sounds so much better!

              Re: RS4 pricing Question

Freddy, I used KBB as a starting point and went from there.

After nearly 2 years of looking at and for RS4's, here's my summary:
2008 RS4: Excellent Condition: Low Mileage: I would pay mid-50's.
2008 RS4: Excellent Condition: High Mileage: I would pay mid-40's.
2008 RS4: Fair Condition: Low Mileage: I would pay just under 50.
2008 RS4: Fair Condition: High Mileage: I would pay high-30's.

2007 RS4: Excellent Condition: Low Mileage: I would pay low-50's.
2007 RS4: Excellent Condition: High Mileage: I would pay low-40's.
2007 RS4: Fair Condition: Low Mileage: I would pay mid-40's.
2007 RS4: Fair Condition: High Mileage: I would pay mid-30's.

Again... this is my research. For what it's worth... the EDM Imola appears appropriately priced.

Keep in mind though... buying an RS4 isn't like buying a Honda Civic. If they're priced right... they definitely don't last long. With only a few thousand available in North America, you can't be too choosy. I hesitated on a couple of black ones last summer and both were sold out from under me before I could react. If a car is way overpriced... then just forget about it. On the other hand, if you and the seller are within a couple grand... just do it. You'll be glad you did!

              PS.

                Re: RS4 pricing Question

Mid 50's for good condition low km's regardless of year.

Price goes down from there. But why would you want any but the best example of a car that's already 5 years old...?

Have you researched the costs associated with RS4's? I desperately wanted one before I read the many horror stories on the net.

                    Re: RS4 pricing Question

I want something AWD, Manual, thats fast... Not much choice out there.. The RS4 seams to fit the bill in style. As for Associated costs, i think the biggest is carbon build up i cant find to much more.

                      Re: RS4 pricing Question

I think Carbon and DRC are the main ones, although most will have had the DRC's replaced via recall or simply changing the suspension out.

Could get a brand new Audi 2.0T and APR it... no RS4 but possibly save some money and not worry about maintenance or condition.

                          Re: RS4 pricing Question

Maintenance is a bit of a pain with a big low production volume motor stuffed in a tiny space. But if you get a well cared for car an plan for some maintenance costs then it's not a giant deal.

The carbon cleaning is the only major maintenance item to worry about with the RS4, and it's all accessible from the top of the engine. How often it needs to be done varies with each engine. Other than that, there's no major maintenance to do on an RS4 engine. Even sparks plus are easy to do when the time comes. The RS4 4.2 has proven itself to be very reliable.

i agree with Kris except i'd go for a new b8.5 s4.. price will be near the same and it'll be faster than the rs4 albeit no fat ass
