Timing setup is completely different for the S4 4.2, timing is on the back so they could fit the engine in the car. If your guides/tensioners go and doesn't lead to catastrophic failure, you're still out a few bucks as it's a nasty job:

Lame. Will it happen again after you get it redone?

Your name came up, in terms of shaving the lights on my bumper. Loc was one of those that says I should have lights. HAHA. So I showed him the thread, and 30 vs 1, was the count. Scrolling through, "oh ryan he nice guy"

I love mine. The only thing I'd change about it would be the fuel economy. lol.

                    Re: Allroad

We are getting 550-600km's out of a tank, with a weak coil pack we were getting 425, they need to be in top working order to provide any kind of reliable fuel mileage

                      Re: Allroad

i get about 550-650ish out of ours.. (mid 600's is PURELY highway)

thanks cam! i need to call loc on monday.. once its fixed it shouldn't come back I HOPE.. i may ask him to get a 3m guy (jeff) in to do the lower doors in 3m and roll it under the door lip too so its all sealed up.. stupid car..

in regards to the 4.2 are you sure!!???

i'm pretty sure the 4.2 is the same motor! well the top end looks EXACTLY the same so maybe thats why i think that

                      either way a 300hp 4.2 ar chipped goes to 340hp just like a stock b6/b7 s4. soooo........................

and a solid painted ar is NOT a a6 avant.. widebody avant more like it.. or flared if you will

and a good site is www.allroadfaq.com

here are some insanely rare fun ones!

not my car but this is almost how bad my driver side looks now after this winter!! no joke

once again go check the next AR you see in a parkade or mall lot and run your finger on the front doors above the blades i bet you feel either small bumps or you'll see it.. so annoying.. oh well

that white looks good, but I think that sprint blue looks like total crap.

Even though the allroad CAN look good, most allroads don't. I stand behind saying the average Avant looks better, an A6 or A4. Most allroads look beaten down and the plastic parts don't age well. The ride height is less than charming and the OEM wheels have also gone far out of style.

By all means you can make it look good if you want to pour thousands of dollars into the car (thousands more after all your maintenance issues). I'd buy something else...

you can drop the car with vagcom
and 19" roti BLQs (like blairs old mk6 wheels)

This is my choice, you still have to wait three years and the Km's are a third higher, but with the 2.5 it will move pretty good. Not as much power, but with the 70 liter tank you should be getting 900-1000 km's per tank. Not as good as a Jetta/Golf here now, but not as bad as a gas either.

There was an A8 with a 4 liter diesel also available in Europe you might be waiting a little longer

Torque is about 478 ft/lbs with 324 hp and gets close to 30 mpg. Parts would be stupid to find, but with that much torque I could only imagine the rush.
