One of our Calgary clients has his 2012 Audi S5 Cab in southern California for the winter. He sent us these photos with his newly-installed Tunerworks-supplied 20" HRE P40S Conical wheels!
i get they're legit HRE wheels, but after the STD that was the VMR i'm surprised anyone would want to run the legit HRE's anymore as there are so many cars running similiar wheels now.
i also hate that grille

On second glance, I agree about the grill. Thanks for ruining the car for me Andrew lol

VMR quality is no where close to HRE (Not just cast vs. forged, finish and build as well) and the Conical series is more concave but I do understand your position on style as well, all in a persons tastes and choices . This customer has had HRE's before and went back to them for the quality and service they provide.
Grill is an Euro RS5 grill, I personally like it over the S5 grill but different tastes for everyone!
Stock grill for those who want to compare

we had some HRE quality issues with the clear coat and or aluminium itself, so we had to get it fixed under warranty. i was surprised, i never had problems with any other wheels, so that was a bit disappointing, perhaps it was a rare occurrence, but it happened to all 4 wheels. yes we used them during winter, they were never chipped or curbed, and factory audi wheels went through same conditions and they are fine for example, soooooo
Definitely a rare occurrence, that is why HRE is offering warranty on ANY peeling sets within their warranty period, including paying for freight to HRE and back from HRE (as you know first hand) which is almost unheard of from most wheel companies these days, typically consumer still ends up paying freight. I still believe your set is the only set I have seen like it and we sell lots of Monoblocks in the same finish you had and your new finish as well.
HRE is known to stand behind their product, in the event an issue comes up like yours, they will take care of it, it is a very rare thing in the industry these days as I'm sure you know. We have even had Calgary customers passing through California that run into an issue on the drive and HRE opens facilities to assist where they can. We also do our best to take care of any of our customers issues, inside or outside of manufactures warranty period
i wasn't complaining about HRE quality in my initial post. what i was pointing out was why someone would why someone would want to pick up a wheel style thats been played to death by tons of replicas. i mean i get it, the reason they're played to death is because its a sick style and classy, but i wouldn't drop HRE prices on something that
