    Re: coilpack fixin'

The fsi coils allow for a larger gap, thus allowing for a more complete burn, especially during idle conditions.
I may appear to be nice, but don't be fooled, I probably don't like you

They are functional as well as aesthetic. I will most likely be changing over the CP's on the S4

do they overall spark better tho,etc

or is it just to rid the ICMs? like i said i'm running 7year old Cps on my s4 since i've owned it and never (knock on wood) replaced 1 yet. maybe they **** the bed once you go stage3 tho

Overall, the spark is said to be significantly stronger, thus the wider allowable/acceptable gap.

              Re: coilpack fixin'

I am running the 2.0t coil packs and love them. I had the latest revision of the 1.8t ones (these were pretty much brand new) but even without running a larger gap I noticed that the car ran way better at idle. I'd love to get a dyno done with the original coil packs and with the new ones I'm sure I would see a difference.

                Re: coilpack fixin'

I have an email into Issam at INA as he posted a reduced price on 2 sets of black on black for $498 shipped.. Im only looking for the coils and adapters, so I will keep you updated Ryan. Anyone have any good hook-ups for a coilpack wiring harness?? ECS has them for $40 but they are back ordered.. the 034 stuff is slightly more expensive. Guess I should check the wreckers...

                  Re: coilpack fixin'

So INA got back to me at $277 shipped in Canada. Waiting to hear back from 034 for their price. I have a US address that I can use, so we'll see if its worth the extra wait.

                    Re: coilpack fixin'

034 got back to me for EVERYTHING, and its $390 USD shipped to Canada--plus conversion, plus GST, plus any other brokerage fees. (Full deal: Coil packs, adapters, Coil harness)

INA is $276cdn shipped w/GST (Coil Packs, Adapters) * Also has to charge HST since hes in Ontario.*
Still need harness' or plugs.. so with the below option comes to $412.50.

So far Locally I have found:
                    Coil Packs: $24.50 each so $154.35 w/GST
Harness: $61 each, so $128.10 for 2 w/GST (Cheaper as 2 people would share 3. This would go down to $96.08 each)

Still waiting on one other local source... Is Erik at Royal Oak competitive on prices? Ive never dealt with him.

                    Cheaper route so far is:

                    INA Adapters: $135.60 cdn shipped
                    Local Coils $154.35
                    Local Harness $96.08

                    Total: $386.03

Tell Issam that he can only charge GST since the product is going to Alberta.

So he wants to charge GST and HST? Last time I checked a harmonized sales tax was the equivalent of gst and a pst... very very dishonest if true and I would never deal with such a person that is trying to pocket that much cash off you.

Good to know! I thought we were HST exempt.

Mantis, you have any good sources for CPs or harness??

Just to make sure you understood what I was posting. We are HST exempt, read the link. We only pay GST when the product originates from within Canada. We are not charged sales tax when the product originates from outside Canada, but taxes and duties can be applied by Canada Customs.

So yeah INA is pulling a not so nice manuevre trying to get you to sen an extra 8% of pure profit their way.

Yep, Im following you. It would be coming from Ottawa, so GST is definitely applicable. Just wasnt sure on the HST front...I guess the difference is that its being shipped out of the Province.
