Graeme did this manually but this is MUCH easier haha

i'm very tempted to order a kit up and put it in while the car is parked.. all my 6 Cps are still original from the day i bought my s4 and so are the ICMs..

Not knowing anything about this setup, it does look like INA hardware, so I would suggest shooting Issam an email before you place your order.

Initial price is deceiving as its plus coil packs plus cnc adapters...
I do prefer the plug and play, although chances are very slim you would ever want to reverse this. I have misfires I have to deal with ASAP.....

Graeme, are you fine without the adapters?

Believe graeme used the old style bolt down ones....

The 2.0 ones would be fine without the adapters though, as long as you dont care that much on how it looks....

mark yea its fully plug the price is pretty $$ when you add the coils and adapters in.. 325 for harnesses is quite expensive but they look OEM

really you could resell your GOOD ICMs for like 50/each and get some money back

my car is parked so i may order this up and put them in

oddly people say to gap the plugs to .040! mine are like .028 right now

G's is an older bolt down

my allroad has the new coils that simply push down too.. but the top end is different than the s4s

i would never reverse this either.. just piece of mind.. lots of good reviews from this so far.. but then again don't have misfires except at idle.

Just use the "5 wire" bolt downs if you don't want to bother with adapters. It's what I used at first and they were fine.

oh you switched.. Graeme did you buy the 034 adaptor plates? and your wiring was already there

what wire is missing? someone said a ground or something. i remember you running a ton of wiring no? then this little harness fixes it??

Someone on QW had a full list of parts they got from a Volvo dealer for the plug and play option and it was $35usd.. Just have to also buy the proper tools to crimp the wires in the plugs.

On that.. I'd be up for splitting whatever pliers in order to do it this way? That is if no one had them.. I'd assume DJ would have a box of odd tools like that. cutting actual harness scares the crap out of me. That an I can't Solder to save my life.

                        From Max @034:

We sell these 4 wire FSI coil connectors, complete with pins, for $11/each.

I can supply them flying lead like in the picture, for an additional $7.50, putting the total price at $18.50...

Or as some pointed out you can buy two full 1.8T harness andcut out what you need for $110. Above method is $111.00

Looks like total for this method is $385..
120 for adapters, 120 for coils, 110 for coil plugs, and 35 for other parts.

I just pillaged two old 1.8T harnesses for my connectors.
The first time around I had it done for under $200.
Add the cost of the adapters if you want the FSI coils.

Anyone know the difference between the coils? I was just assuming newer=better.

So basically 120 for coils, 120 for adapters, 110 for harness and a solder gun and someone who can solder.
I think soldered connections are better than the more expensive plug and play.

We could try to go through Issam, or through 034.
