Ended up driving an A3 and Golf before x-mas. Bottom line came down to price when we compared apples to apples. We were pleased with both cars, both vehicles had positives and negatives. From what the dealership said the new A3 will be more more refined and will follow suit in forms of luxury as the rest of the brand... where as right now it's like the neglected entry level vehicle. In my opinion you are paying for the name (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) We didn't really want to wait for the new A3 and the Golf met our needs/wants a little better so we ended up putting a deposit down last night on a 2012 United Grey Golf Highline 6spd manual with NAV. Were both excited the car is slated to be built later this month so hopefully delivery is around the middle of May.
