I had an engine I was rebuilding and decided to drop it in to a b6 A4 instead of a B5 S4. Nothing serious wrong with it just drove it up from red deer today. Found a p0030 code heated 02 sensor messing up and some paint chips. Just looking for a project

The spare block Is still in the shop but that just means I'll have a spare 3 liter crank shaft on hand

Going to vagcom it first then probably replace the o2 sensor that's throwing the code

Back from vacation now and time to get some work done this weekend. Logging the car showed that the front 02 sensor is not reading voltage changes so that's got to go. I'll get some pictures up soon. Took a look at the suspension and
Realized that the car drove alot of gravel roads cause it looks like it's been sand blasted haha

Ya that's the frustrating part of a project, catching up on deferred maintenance as it becomes apparent.

So I had some spare time today and decided to take off the skid plate....



When I loosened the bolts I noticed the nut was spinning and I'd have to get a wrench on it to get them out and to do that the bumper had to come off



and now I grabbed a beer to relax without accomplishing much
I don't like how clean the engine bay is

does anyone have any idea how to find out why the head light washer isn't working i know the pump works but it seems like there is a clog in the system...
also is the rs4 steering wheel inter changeable with the a4 one? its blue and worn looks kind of bad

Check and make sure your washer line is connected to the headlight washer lines in the bumper.

The steering column spline changed diameters in certain years, so you have to make sure you get an RS4 wheel from the right car.

Thanks Jordan i'm not too familar with the b6 so it's all new to me. Still waiting on my engine to be bored I wish I didn't say that I was in no rush and they can take their time

Steering wheel will fit. Air bag will NOT work

I think the TTRS wheel works and the airbag will too.
