I may appear to be nice, but don't be fooled, I probably don't like you

      Re: BlakMarketClash's TiAL S605 Thread

Just an update: Car was demonstrating some bad idle, i used VCDS and found no codes so i took some measuring blocks and found nothing in particularly wrong at all. SO, i went to the trunk to listen to the fuel pump and it was erratic! Popped open the cover and found that the fuel send line was an inch too long forcing it to bend and eventually break...

The inside of the pump after new hose installed, sealed, and clamped.

      The fuel tank junction

It ran like a champ, here's a short video for now:

Went to the weight scale and got a measurement, it's in Kg's, so 1550kg's is 3410lbs.

I got a new file from Dave @ EPL

Absolutely, I had a mishap this morning with some rain water and it threw a EPC.... boo. The box seal was dirty and let what little water in from drain. Lucky i was just pulling in my driveway so i could disconnect the negative pole and assess the damage. Might have bricked the ECU tho

What the stock weight? Just interested in seeing how much you managed to take off.

i wouldn't take those weigh scales for commercial vehicles as gospel.
they're used to doing 30,000lbs+, so being off by a hundred here or there isn't a big deal for them. the best place to weigh the car is a track where they are a lot more accurate

I panicked when i saw the water. So i disconnected the battery, and immediately start to dry everything out !

Threw a thick layer of thermo-stat housing atv on both sides of the box gasket

                        Inspected everything once dry

And traced the problem to this little guy, the windshield wiper pillar seal

The car runs fine! After 3 hours of furious drying!

I always thought those weigh scales had to be accurate and were tested often. If one of those trucks were out 20kgs they would have their papers revoked. Thats why i love them so much! hahah

So you managed to shed 300lbs.. what else did you take out?!?!

I dont see how taking out your listed things below achieved that. Was the gas tank full vs empty?

add tool kit, spare tire, un-needed brackets. It adds up.
