    Re: BlakMarketClash's TiAL S605 Thread

I went with some larger inlet pipes and just used a couple large washers as spacers for the fan to get some extra clearance. Nice build by the way, sounds like you'll be building a monster.

Woah! that's ingenuity. I think i got a lemon with that bipipe, no disrespect to AWE, it just needed convincing! And thanks!

I have to do more research on the EFKs admittingly. Right now i'm looking at widebands and FP gauges. I have a feeling the mods will always be happening after its together

          Re: BlakMarketClash's TiAL S605 Thread

Most of the time i spend on this build is done at 5:00AM after i get home from wiring (electrician) this shitty department store in the south of town. But it's all good, i can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. ordered the AFR G3 and LC-1 today, i like the analog display, parallax error time!

Started by cleaning the bellhousing, inspecting the clutch fork, installing the CM TOB, and greasing the flanges.

The light weight steel, SMFW (that rhymes) didnt come with a torque plate, but i consulted Kevin@ CM about using the OEM torque plate and he said it was okay. I used caution torquing the FW bolts up while using threadlocker because they dont look like stretch bolt. Instead of a full 180*, i went 60*. They were solid. The rest was also bolted up.

Here a picture i found of the coolant, oil lines, with the EGT probes installed i forgot to post. (Sorry, a little blurry)

I took out my stock fuel pump, and bench tested my 044. ITS ALIVE! Here's a comparison

There something interesting i found in the trunk when it comes to the sunroof that will save ppl a lot of time when it comes to cleaning the lines. Just take the lining on either side part way out and you will expose the drain lines. I might just be discovering this now, and you already know.

Got my Lobro kits, and REIN kits(thanks kenny!) and disassembled my front axles and cleaned them up. CAREFUL , this **** has lead in it.... That could harsh your nervous systems buzz

J1 AR Driverside shaft all naked

Inspected end hub, and cleaned it up, (photo pre-cleaning)

Shaft all done and burped, i did passenger right after

To the break of DAWN! The sun came out and I opened the garage to give me room to work in my new office. welcome to my new office (im delirious)

BTW i had Depeche Mode, and the new White Lies records on the stereo. I tried that new Band Of Horses record and promptly threw it in the trash, along with my old IC brackets!

Got the harness out carefully and wired the motor after i gapped the spark plugs to .025 and installed coil packs

          Thats it for now.

            Re: BlakMarketClash's TiAL S605 Thread

I managed to put down the alcohol long enough to bring my project up-to-date on the forums.

            The adapter plate

Beginning to line up the tranny, i used two jacks and had the engine on a hoist. easy

Back together, and i put in the slave.

Wired a few gauges throught the vents after i modified the vents

BOOM! Going to fab a coolant reservoir and another bracket for my 02's

            Time for a celebration!

I bled to coolant system a little bit and topped up all the fluids and broke out all the camera gear. I tried to turn it over and it wasn't going so i went over a couple things and found that my crank sensor was frayed.

That seemed to fix the problem:

            SUCCESS!

              Re: BlakMarketClash's TiAL S605 Thread

The next thing was to do a boost test, here i am fabbing a tester that will hopefully withstand 15-20 psi

              Cap off!

PCV out and Y pipe capped

              Better pic

              Compressor ready

A couple 2x4's are wedging the outlets in place, and, i clamped them aswell. Anyway thats what this pic is

              Tester in place

Found a couple leaks, one on the driverside intercooler and one on the inlet clamp. I jacked the motor up and inch to sneak my hands in there and realign the clamp.
As soon as i get it started with my old exhaust setup the UPS lady came with my 034 3" DP's and 3.5" single setup. Pics of frustrating yet awesome install.

              Rear 02's out

              DP's out

              Single muffler.

              New DP's in

It's all done! And i drove all night breaking in the clutch

Got 1000kms on the clock, i pressed the reset button by accident around 300km

More videos and pics to come.

I didn't know ClutchMasters used Sachs for pressure plates.

Thanks yall ! Dave @ EPL is going to send me the first revision tommorow and im going to be logging on the street and the dyno. I feels VERY beastly, the weight mods made a difference with the new found power. I can only rev to 4300rpm, but i only been there a handful of times.

Im seeing 16 hg vac, and 28psi by 4300rpm(had to try) according to my JHM gauge. I have more vids coming.

28psi.......duuuude be very careful, especially on new clutch.

im doing a solid 24 psi hold and if i had a tune that worked it would be borderline rod snap territory.

go easy with it during the break in so you dont need to pullt ranny and replace the glazed clutch. the torque when the tials hit is HARD

I should have been more specific. It tapers to less but spikes at 26-28psi. I never pushed it until the clutch was broken in. The file i have now spikes at 25~ and tapers to 18-19psi.
