    1. Keep it as long as you can until you're finishing up the installation. I would leave it at least 5-6 feet long if you can. When you're doing the finishing touches you can trim to length. Better too long than too short

    2. You should boost leak test the intake system to whatever pressure you plan on running. If you are going to run 20 psi, then test to 20. If you're planning on 25psi, then go to 25. Many leaks don't manifest themselves until you get into the higher pressures while leak testing.

Cool. Thanks again, your a legend!

Thanks buddy! Might be a stroker when funds come in. A 6.3L crank is 3000 bucks brand new, plus all the boat loads of expensive parts. Nobody does that anymore, they just supercharge or put in an ls3-ls2, which are also cool. The only thing done on it is a full exhaust (magnaflow) and it sounds like a champ.

          Re: BlakMarketClash's TiAL S605 Thread

BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOST TESTING the 605's and their inlets. Cause you installed them you know its just a vitton ring that press fits onto the compressor inlet of the turbo. If you boost it to 20psi you're gonna shoot them off and then you're going to f&cking want to kill yourself as you try and get them back on while the engine is in the car.

Two options, pressure test before the front end goes back on.

or....take a 3' long 2x4 and wedge it down in between the front end and the inlet so it cant come forward, do this on both sides, and have two friends hold them to ensure they are levering the inlet so it wont move.

You'll only make this mistake once.

Which boost gauge did you end up going with?

^ This is a good point. Tial turbo kit inlets don't come with mounting tabs (unless this has changed recently), so you'll want to either have somebody hold the inlets in place while you do the leak test, or use a wedge like Andrew mentioned. Getting the inlets back on with the engine in the car and all buttoned up isn't the end of the world, by any means, but it's easier to not have to deal with that.

I definitely see how this can be a problem! Well i contacted VAST to try and get their in-house gauge but ended up receiving a JHM gauge. Which is still okay. But its no VAST gauge..... I also wanted one of the PODI's

                  AWE.
its also easier to hook up as its got an electronic sender.
So you run the boost tube under your dash, and then itno the sender box which controls electronically the boost gauge. Means you dont have boost tubing running through vents and crap just a tiny little electronic wire

                      Re: BlakMarketClash's TiAL S605 Thread

Next step, turbos. I had to buy some coolant supply lines, turbo gaskets, and modify a couple things which went okay.

I used a marker to guide my angle grinder here, AND shot an in focus photo at the same time.

Had to break out the copper anti-seize

I had to mock it up a couple times to get the approximate mount modifications right.

                      Passenger side

I also just went ahead and took it upon myself to install the signal and wastegate lines, which look 'very nice'

Here they are on the turbo(s). Use threadlocker and dont forget anything.

With the turbos wrapped up i cut over to my shifter linkage and went ahead and installed the 'trio' early package! I'm very happy about how this will feel.

Here's the other end of that:

I really dislike the plastic crosspiece

And my APR bipipe needed heavy modification to clear my fan! Anyone else get that?

I can only speak for myself, here, but having seen and installed several different boost gauges in these cars, I feel that AWE isn't the only good option out there...

i agree, podi makes great gauges and winston the owner is good ****.

make sure when you're test fitting your intercooler pipe where your are grinding down that there is 1/8" or more of gap and that the two pieces aren't touching. you'll get a horrible vibration otherwise.

if you need a hand with anythign let me know, i did my tials in decemeber

Nice! I will let you know thanks bud. I mocked up those pipes and they will definetly need more love than what TiAL reccomends.
