      The limit of what the bottom end can take is not dependent on hp, but torque. It all depends on how much peak torque the engine makes, and the limit of the OEM rods is typically about 500 ft-lbs.

          thanks for clearing it up. i figure pushing for just under 500awhp will translate a 440-450tq on the 605s. which is what i was thinking anyway.

                          it gets into a pissing contest above that about who can triple the speed limit quicker, and EVERYTHING else becomes an issue. you're gonna need brakes in a hurry whether you have 450 or 550 hp.

                            That's a pretty good plan, I just love building stuff so i guess ill always be building something here. Brakes are definitely going on, i have to put in more research

                                Removing the firewall for weight doesnt quite sit right with me... that piece gives quite a bit of support/rigidty, and probably should have something in its place.

                                If you really want to lose weight, ditch the seats, get light wheels, remove all sound deadening etc... Im guessing you had to relocate the battery to the trunk as well?
