  • Partial Throttle Duty Cycle?

Anybody have any ideas on what partial throttle duty cycle should be like?

did some logs last night i get 0 at low requested boost even though the turbos are starting to develop more than requested the software never uses the N75 to regulate. Is it not in PID at that time? as it works fine at full throttle the N75 regulates it ata duty cycle from 80-95%.

    any ideas

    software is APR

It will vary, for the most part you are looking at 0%

I find it odd that you are overboosting at part throttle, by how much?

By about this much it gets worse and worse the more i had throttle but if i mash it from the start and go WOT the N75 deals with it.

Yep probably why it goes into limp mode stupid thing but i would have thought that the N75 would start to try and correct it when it saw the pressure so high but it seems that APR have just locked in a set duty cycle of 0%

              Re: Partial Throttle Duty Cycle?

haha i have a couple N75's thats not the problem chagned DV's MAP sensor N75 checked wastegates pressure tested all is good. So it's down to software i guess.

A question though when running with the N75 unplugged i get a boost spike of close to 10psi before it settles to the 6-7 psi range is this normal?

                Re: Partial Throttle Duty Cycle?

I dont think it is a N75 issue, more looks like unexpected boost response and APR's tune not cap part throttle boost

Roger why not try running it on an MBC capped at say 20psi, that should give you an idea if you are heading in the right direction. I have one you can borrow, let me know

                    Re: Partial Throttle Duty Cycle?

I have an MBC already in parrallel it's set to about 19-21 currently but that doesn't do me any good down low where the problem is as i go into limp mode anywhere from 10-15 psi usually.

I sent my ECU out to APR this afternoon so hopefully they can do something about it.

But a question i do have is if i am running 0% duty cycle is that the same as running with the N75 unplugged if so then shouldn't the wastegates be opening at the usual 6-8psi not letting the car run up to 14psi when requesting only 6psi?

                      Re: Partial Throttle Duty Cycle?

WG's on most K04's is slightly higher than 6psi, mine were set at 11ish. Maybe Blouche thought you wanted some race turbos. I would run the MBC in place of the N75, just leave the N75 plugged in.

I would love to hear what APR has to say about this, it seems as though your ECU is resistant to any adaptation where boost is concerned, no fuzzy logic

They should be set to about 6-7 psi.

                        Roger,

If APR can't help with the problem then I may be able to help you figure it out.

Fing customs Fing Fedex send the ECU overnight so i can have it back for next week and now it's stuck in US customs and it probably won't even get to APR until middle of next week what a fucking joke shipping is these days.
