B5 S4 springs & shocks question

Can anyone clarify S4 springs and shocks will fit on B5 A4? Aside from spring rates, I thought springs would but uncertain about shocks?

Some web sites indicate same part numbers while others do not?

Thanks, Curious as to why S4 shocks & springs for lowering and factory equipment is quite different cost wise?

Different spring rates, and the fact that the manufacturers know that S4 guys will pay more than most A4 owners will.
