  • boost gauges comparison

So I am thinking of putting in a boost gauge and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. B5 S4.

I saw awe and JHM both have vent mounted.

and stratosphere has the dash conversion.

is there another, or are any of these better then the others. I think i remember ryan mentioning AWE is electronic so doesn't require the tubing which is a plus.

The VAST boost gauge is the best one that I've seen so far, and has white backlighting with red needle. The JHM gauge is also very good, but the backlighting is red with red needle. These are the two that I prefer over all others up to this point, and I've installed and worked with most brands available from APR and AWE to VAST, JHM, and others. The APR isn't too bad, and it's cheaper than most, but it's not as nice or high quality as the VAST or JHM gauges.

The new AWE gauge is still air-pressure operated, but has wiring for the backlighting, if I'm not mistaken.

nah the awe one is rad but its very expensive compared to other kits

i can't stand those steering pods.. i don't like my cluster being blocked

I kind of like the stratosphere, keeps close to an OEM look (minus the colors and the s4 gone). Does the AWE require cutting so the vent no longer seals?

Here is another similar to the stratosphere but I am not quite that comfortable with the electronics work.

the awe comes with the vent.. so you pop out the old and plop in the new.. so simple.. the awe looks oem as far as quality goes.. its a top notch product.. you pay for it too..

                          well worth the money IMO

There are others as good as the AWE (and less expensive), it just depends on your taste
