    Re: Remote Starter

Compustar and astrostart also have phone apps.....

We use bypasses in all our installs and have no issues with immobilizers. Remote Starters are a must have on cars! I use mine all year round, AC in summer, heat in winter.

Jesse, yes driving warms a car up faster, but letting the fluids circulate and the heater kick in for a few minutes at idle is better then cold starting and driving away.

Coolant heaters are the cats ass as well and I use mine all the time at home, but most people can't plug in their cars at work or when running errands, so it really is only good for your first morning commute.

you only need your fluids to circulate for 45 seconds to a minute before driving away.

i should wait that long, but I don't. I also squeeze too hard when masturbating so.. really.. longevity is not in my plans.

gloves and a good winter jacket are way cheaper. get in, start, get out and scrape your snow off, get in and drive away. most new cars cycle the A/C to get the moisture out to prevent inside frosting. keeping the recirc air on will frost up the inside too. my cars all get up to operating temp after about 7 minutes of driving. none of them are ever plugged in. if you are getting an auto, better man up this way to avoid the flaming.

also, you only really need to run a block heater for approx. one half hour for every liter of engine displacement. ie: a 2.0L only needs about an hour, in case your math sucks.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

Good point, although I would double or triple that if diesel.

              Re: Remote Starter

Thanks to erveryone who made a positive contribution and tried to answer the question I posted. Unfortunately the thread has now deviated into the rights and wrongs of a remote starter. Not what I had intended. It is after all, a personal choice.
I'll try some other forums to see if someone can answer the question I asked.

I am pretty sure we answered your questions 10 times over. The warranty question you answered yourself.
