  • New AWD Dyno in Town!!

Im heading to the dyno friday morning to a new shop in town.. those of you in the Subaru community know him as 'Airboy' and he finally opened up his own shop with a Dyno Dynamics AWD dyno. He has a Christmas special on now, but sounds like a great place to go to for a dyno day in the spring. I'm doing 3 pulls for $80 which seems way lower then anyone else.

DynoDynamics are called heartbreaker dynos for a reason.

Anyone have a newer Mustang dyno?

There are other Dyno's in town... but you wont find another for $80 for 3 runs. I believe Reigel runs at $250/hr. Heartbreak or not, it provides a good baseline for other modifications as long as you keep going back to him.

Always interested in setting up a dyno day for the spring time, as it has been a while since we have had one, maybe even bring the R8 to hear some V8 goodness!!

Re: New AWD Dyno in Town!!

                    Hello eurodrivers

We have a Saab 9-3 in the household so I guess I am allowed in here, right?

It took a while but the dyno is finally here and installed. While I don't tune Audi/VW/BMW (yet), the dyno is available for baseline pulls, dyno day rental, as well as per hour rental for those who tune their own cars.

Hopefully will see some of you soon.

                    Sunny

Re: New AWD Dyno in Town!!

                        Well heartbreaker it certainly is!
Apparently I was having issues with my boost holding, and my graph shows a few bounces. All pulls were done in 4th gear, on Husky 94 on the 91 VAST program spiking at 23, holding at 21.

My best (and only print out I have) is:

                        Uncorrected:
                        Max whp: 297
                        Max Tq: 368 FtLb

                        Corrected: (13% factor)
                        Max Whp: 336 Whp
                        Max Tq: 415 FtLb.

And my AFR was at 12.4

It will be interesting to see how things change in the summer, not only with the tweaks via VAST and Jordan but also if I can get the boost to hold steady. I havent driven full throttle for over a month, so its tough to say if there are issues. I really should get a pressure test done!!

Todd was 236HP and 260ft lb. He has videos he will post later.

Its an AWD dyno.. no idea if they can only run FWD or RWD.. I didnt ask.
