kind of the wrong season but im thinking ahead to next year. I had michelin ps2 tires on my s4 and am wondering what everyone's preferences are. Im getting a credit for new tires and want to shop around because i have had two ps2's blow a belt in the sidewall which has been a big piss off.

I've also had the Hankooks and they were excellent. The birdgestone RE-01's on my car right now are also excellent, but have b een discontinued. The new version is the RE-11 which have great reviews but the treadwear is poor apparently.
I have also never met a person who was not incredibly satisfied with Dunlop Drizzera Star Specs.

Re: Best summer performance tire thread
im running nitto nt555's, love them so far, pretty good in the wet, awesome in the dry. no complaints about them, balance up nice and ride nice. the michelin ps2 is a good tire, but leans more towards a luxury/sport tire, ride quality is absolulty awesome, such a soft sidewall, definelty more of a luxury tire than a sport tire, the RE-11's are a R compound so really sticky but wont last long. the nitto nt-05 looks like itll be a good tire, sticky but not as sticky as a full R compound like the NT-01.Current:

Re: Best summer performance tire thread
Can't go wrong with the Kumho Ecsta SPT for the price you pay. Fantastic tire in wet or dry. Don't even think about leaving these tires on when the first snow fall comes, though. You'd be better served by running a snowboard under each wheel...Jordan

Re: Best summer performance tire thread
Im running Nitto NeoGens right now, they are great, handle well, wet and dry! Had nitto 555's on my 19" rims a couple years ago and blew tires like it was going out of style. went through 3 tires in one summer, would definetly do the neo gens again.Kevin

I had the T1R's. When they wore out i bought the Hankook V12's for almost half of what it would cost to replace the T1R's..
The V12's are performing just as well as the T1R's did. I can still rip through 1,2 no problem but i think the only way to stop that is slicks or R comps.Last edited by Spoolin; 11-04-2010, 08:20 AM.
