Have been reading a bunch on this lately and was wondering if anyone here has had real world experience with carbon build-up and notable loss of power on their direct-injection motor? Apparently (or so I have read) this issue is more prevalent on the Audi FSI engines?
In a nutshell, just trying to decipher as to whether this is a serious problem that needs to be fixed by the manufacturer's or just a minor problem that the online gearheads are all freaking out over. Have always been thinking that an Audi would be the next whip in my stable but now I'm a little spooked.
