      Re: B5 S4 Roll call

Installed a JHM front mount this week, and finished with the silicone couplers and eliminated all the stock rubber stuff. Debating on what exhaust to put on it. Really liking the AWE twin 1, but I don't like the price, since I know I can build it for less then half. I can order magnaflow through work so its literally dead cost for mufflers or even the magnaflow kit. AWE downpipes should be here eventually. I've also been tempted to order a pair of frankenturbos but haven't done enough research to make an educated purchase, but J-Fonz has a great deal on them currently.
Otherwise I've just been doing maintenance and repairing stupid stuff that breaks.
I really need radio removal keys!!!

        Re: B5 S4 Roll call

        1. You dont need the radio removal key.. search on QW/AZ/AW on how to trim nail files to work
        2. AWE Twin 1 is very loud. Especially with DP's and no cats. Not unbearable loud... but gets more attention that I would ultimately like.
        3. Frankenturbos are a good bet... Cheaper than OEM K04s and appear to have good reliability. Id also look at the JHM RS6-Rs as they are the new kid on the block..

On a personal note.. Ive been getting the itch for something different. Not exactly sure if the feeling will pass or not.. so if anyone is looking an an extremely well sorted out Stage 3 gimme a shout. If you are wondering, it wont come cheap. As an idea Rogers sold for 16k in the spring.. similiar kms, but stock seats and brakes. (Where as mine cost an additional 7k!) Im not asking for 23... btw.. somewhere in the middle. Ive been having an Avant itch!

              Re: B5 S4 Roll call

FORGE Diverters showed up after a month and a half, going on after work. Dash kit to replace the radio arrived, so did the harness. Going to have to figure out the wiring to make the rear speakers work still though.
Taking it to the drag strip on the 14, 15. Should give me a good baseline to compare to next year...

                Re: B5 S4 Roll call

I took mine to the strip at Mission, unfortunately the combination of C14 with an M5 kicker with 26PSI is too much for my VAST stage 4 clutch to handle, it launches good , but 1-2 shift ends in massive slipping, shift to 3 still slips.

I removed all the race fuel and drove it home with zero issues, clutch holds great, even did a couple of launches once I got back to Calgary. My advice is to steer clear of kevlar clutch material if you plan on launching. I think I will try a southbend stage 4 extreme

                    Re: B5 S4 Roll call

I never made it past the clutch slipping. It just wouldn't hold at all, I honestly have no idea what my times were, 18-19second range

                        Re: B5 S4 Roll call

Disappointing for sure, but the good news is that the clutch holds fine for DD use and mild to med abuse, just not extreme abuse.

On my second run I did manage to get the clutch to hook back up past the 1/8 mile so I got to run from 3k-6K in 3rd

I only did 2 runs, I figured it wise not to trash the clutch when 1k km from home

Well Boyband, I suggest you come to medicine hat on the 14, 15 and find out what the car will really run. I'm hoping for mid-high 13's on pump 93 husky.

                                Stuvy, what are your mods?

I havent had my current car to the track, but the best I got with my last APR Stage 3 on race gas was 13.1@111... 2.4 et... so basically my launch stopped me from the 12's.

                                Ryan, whats an M5 kicker??
Im surprised that FT's on race fuel were too much for a Stage 4 clutch..
