A little update for me....

Powdercoated door handles (ala RS4) and DXC upgraded springs!



Side note, I now have my stock ones if anyone wants to get theirs done.. not free, but certainly not expensive.

i need to rip my driver out as the handle is busto/wonky as it happens after time

did you get them powercoated locally? i wonder if you could simply paint them for the rs4 look? i wish they were brushed aluminum.. i hate the chrome handles

Get a scotch pad, and rub them in the same direction over and over again in a straight line. You have the practice, you dont even have to pull them out.

I bought them done from AZ... new springs, powdercoated and put together.

My springs are still decent if you want to buy them! (As a set of course) Im not sure if paint would hold up on the handles... If you had an extra set you could drop them off at a Powder place and wait for whenever they do a black load.

Everything is great now... but didnt start out like that. Somehow the pressure plate was faulty, so I had to get another shipped out. Luckily I had a bunch of other work being done, so it didnt create much if any downtime. Driveability is great, and Ive been surprised how light the pedal is.. even compared to my stock RS4 unit.

Dealing with Mike at Vast was one of the few postive things with that repair... Reigel was great too, but they were also the second 'mechanic/shop' (term used VERY LIGHTLY) that I had to paid to get the job done right.

im glad it all turned out and the clutch is holding up great. when i decide to get a new clutch ill probally go that route again.

I guess I can post this here. I picked up a super clean dead stock 2000 6mt with 165k... in silver.

I'll post a pic tomorrow it won't let me now on my tablet... or you can dig deep and try to picture a lowered silver B5 S4, with black wheels.

I'm looking forward to playing with this, Stasis is putting together an old school goodie bag of their motorsports line for me so that should be fun.



Some crappy pics, in its constant state of repair. Power steering pump went yesterday...

I've got an 01.5 sanatorin blue.
So far I've got a GIAC stage 2 chip, Forge diverter valves, ST coils and some 19x8.5 RS4 wheels and Rieger front bumper so far, but I've only owned it for about a month and a half.
I hope to get some Tial770s for it this winter, make it an 11 second daily autocrosser.
