nothing in those sizes are really gonna be "all seasons". theyll be good in the summer, good in rain, but any snow and they wont be the greatest, unless you look at getting some Nokian WR G2's, the only true a/s tire available in canada.

This is true. I guess the idea behind getting all seasons is that I could keep them on a bit later into the season, and if there was light snow then I wouldn't be stuck. I'm looking at the Continental Extremecontact DWS. Supposedly the best all season tire for Dry, Wet and Snow (DWS) .. I would at least have some traction in snow with these.

With quattro you wont get stuck even with summers on. Just have to be careful while braking.

I drove mine all the way into november on summers and didnt have any problems.

Good choice on wheels, are you getting reps or the real deal?

I'm just getting reps. We'll see how they hold up on the terrible edmonton roads.

The tires seems to be rated really well. I've seen a lot of the guys on audizine running them and the tire rack has them rated first by a large margin. Now the next question is do I want 215/35 or 225/35 on the 8.5" wheels.. a little stretch? or very little stretch?

So it turns out the s550 wheels are hard to find. I tried ordering reps from 2 places and both were out of stock and canceled my order because they didn't have any new shipments coming in. Fortunately I found a used set of real OEM wheels on ebay and got them for a much better price. The only thing is that they will now be staggered 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear. I've decided to go with the 225/35 in the front and 235/35 (so there should be little to no stretch) on the back so that the rolling diameter should be within 1% of each other so there hopefully shouldn't be an issue with the quattro diff. The only downside to that is that the 235/35's seem to be back ordered everywhere I call.

What is the offset on them? Those AMG wheels i bought have a aggressive offset and i need to stretch my tires quite a bit.

Youll also need hubcentric rings, and you might have to drill the lug holes from 12mm to 14mm
