2400 Miles - She's not perfect, but she's home.

Well, I arrived home today with my S4 Avant. I got some of the issues sorted, diagnosed other new ones, and will now start the process of TLC that she needs.

The Good:
She's pretty zippy. I can get another 100WHP out of her for sure and she`s fun to drive.
I LOVE the colour and how she looks.
The brakes are EPIC combined with the RE-01 Tires
She hasn`t thrown a code for 3 days now.

The Bad
The floor thing pisses me off to no end, but I`ll fix it.
The fan clutch is toast which was part of my overheating
The idiot who owned her before didn`t put heat shields for the K04s.
My clutch is INSANELY heavy for what it is. Every other Stage III car I`ve been in has a better clutch

I have lots of work to get her ready for the show in 2 weeks, but by then I`m confident she will be looking and running pretty well.

if you talking about downpipe heatshields.. you don't need that **** man
the precats hold the heat.. once the precats are gone your fine

if the clutch fan you talking about is dead.. you don't need it either.. i completely removed mine.. BUT however if you get stuck in +30 weather the car can overheat..
you can buy an electric fan kit to replace the clutch one and free up a few HP too

the AC fan should be there and there should be another small electric fan upfront on your avant too..

I'll get some shots of the floor and under the car to show you what I mean. I've been cleaning the car all day. The previous owner was a fucking slob, and despite telling me "hey i'm ust vacuuming the car right now!" on the phone it was awful.

I'm in the middle of trying the magic eraser/fabric shaver approach to cleaning the alcantara. Seems to work. I just have to wait until its dry to tell if it lifted all the dirt and then trim the pilling.

Pity about your troubles, but then again... it could have been a lot worse.
