Re: New to the forum, looking for some guru advice/information

Well, I put a deposit on a beautiful Nogaro 2000 S4 with quite a bit done to it. 19" RS4 rep's, stage 3-, RS4 front bumper, E46 lip spoiler. I'll have it in a few days! Im pumped!

Is there a meet in the makings?

Yep, picked it up on Wednesday and I am in Vancouver with it. Great drive. I'll need the output shaft seal replaced, PM me a quote? Also, suggestions on rear springs? The springs are broken (due to tq I am assuming)

Re: New to the forum, looking for some guru advice/information

If you're already doing the springs in the rear you might as well just do coilovers all around.

No point in going all the way inside the wheel wells just to swap stock parts.

Plus this is group buy season on Audizine and so on, so you're bound to come across a good deal somewhere if you're not super picky on brand. And there's always used if you dare.

            Nice car though.

              ^ Thanks man!

I dont think the springs are stock (h&r), its got koni adjustables also. I'll have a gander on Audizine as I will leave the used set's for the more daring....

Go full coilovers... or you will regret it later.

If you're the type of person that doesn't like to tinker and change settings all the time, then a nicely matched set of springs and shocks isn't a bad way to go, either. You just have to make sure you get a set of springs that gives you the ride hide and the performance that you want, and then a set of shocks designed for that ride height that will perform the way you want with good longevity. I was perfectly happy with the Eibach/Bilstein combo, except that it was a little low for my tastes, but it performed nicely.

i would stay clear of shocks/spring combos they seem to drop it not enough or TOO much.

i'm VERY happy with my eibach prostreet S coils.. eibach springs and kw shocks/struts.. work great! very very happy and didn't cost too much either they were like 1080 US..

I had Vogtland on my previous car, and H&R on my current.. love both of them.
