so back on topic of that toronto car, i just got a diatribe of an email from the seller accusing me of posting all kinds of crap about him on audizine, something i never did (i just got an account a few days ago) and a whole whack of other stuff.

Threats, and a whole bunch of stuff.
As i figured, he's not even in toronto. Nor has the car been RIV'd or anything.

He said he's going to post all of my information all over the internet and blah blah blah. i told him kindly to see the legal disclaimer at the bottom of my email. if he wants to deal with a multinational companies legal department thats not my problem.

saw your post on Audizine . I DON"T LIE !!!! I never lied about anything , so I don't really understand your post . I think I've mentioned that the car has rebuild title , thats why the price is lower . I didn't hide anything because I don't have to . The car is still not registered in Ontario , ??? That's correct , I told you that I still have valid insurance , so I will drive it with US plate for it's benefits . So what ? What's wrong with that ? I also mentioned that I've paid all the duties and fees incl. RIV , so I can have it plated in couple of hours if I want to . Why you have to lie about our conversation ? People know me here in Toronto , and they know that I dont have garbage , junk cars . If you don't apologize on audizine , I'll post all our conversation and then they can decide who's lying .
You don't have Balls to tell me that you are not interested , that's one thing (Typical Canadian ), but you lie about me on a public forum that's something else .
You have until tomorrow night , and I'll post everything !!!





***here's the thing though. you can RIV a car and import it, and still drive it around on USA plates. once the car passes RIV its a canadian car and must be insured in canada. i know this because i've gone through countless RIV documents in the last few weeks stating that.
the guy is a curbster...but the emails were a little much

He's mad at me for saying he was dishonest about the title of the car. He insists that he has disclosed everything up front to everyone who has inquired about it.
From my email conversation with another person who was looking into the car, that is not my understanding. He also raged at me for saying it was a salvage title, when its a "Rebuilt" title. either way, they both mean the car was in a severe enough impact at one point to be written off by the insurance company.

It appears he has sold the car though, so someone either got a good car, or a bucket.

We'll never know.

This is correct. Once a car is exported from the USA permenantly is can no longer be registered in the USA. You also must have valid Canadian insurance.
