Car is a salvage title and the guy who owns it says "It's never been in an accident" when you email him. He has no receipts for any maintenance

That's why it hasn't sold. It's cheap, but its probably a ticking time bomb.

But a drop dead sexy time bomb!!

i am looking into that car currently. it sounds fishy.
i call and ask about the car for sale he says "which one".
i then ask if its got a clean title and he says yes but that it was in a big accident.

he went on to tell me about how he's had 10 s4's. i'm supposed to be speaking ot the guy tonite and getting a VIN.

The dude sounds a bit like a curbster but i dunno 100% yet.

I cannot stress enough how much you should NOT buy a car from a guy that denies a salvage title car has ever been in an accident. If he's lying about that, what else is he hiding?

I wouldn't even buy that car for 12K

well fwiw.. i bought my s4 from glenmore.. ran a carfax.. it was owned by an older guy locally in calgary.. NO accidents on the carfax. ( i do have all the maint. records to 50k when i bought it tho)

but the front bumper is freaking noggy blue and sprayed silver over top!!! rock chips gave way after the years to show me this.. i wasn't too happy after finding that but hey what can you do :/

Hmmm...its funny you say that. My .:R has never been repainted or been in an accident. The side skirt, where it faces the front wheel has paint chipped off and its blue underneath. My last BMP GLI had the same thing. With the GLI I thought someone had resprayed the rear bumper apron however when my .:R had the same thing I figured maybe the plastic is blue (looks like nogaro) and painted body color!

you'd have to ask kyle.. to my knowledge that GLI was never painted anything as he bought it new.. who knows maybe the plastic is blue LOL.. i swear its noggy tho but i could be on crack
