im doing it. im the second on the list. (2000audis4) Its a SSAC copy. which is basically a twin1 knock off. there are sounds clips on the second page of the audizine forum. sounds good and isn't too loud! can't wait for it to show up! You really can't go wrong from the price.

There's an old saying that I believe is true: "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten"

But hey, to each his own! Sometimes you have to try a cheap item to see if it really is cheap, or just inexpensive.

IMO exhaust is exhaust, i had ssac headers on one of my cars and the fitment and quality was great. i just find it hard to fork out 1000$ for a cat back exhaust that really isn't any different.

I understand where you're coming from, for sure. But there are varying levels of quality in a CB exhaust system- weld quality, steel quality, fitment, etc. I've seen some exhausts last for years, and others rust out within months.

But like I said, sometimes you do find a good price on an inexpensive item of reasonable quality (not the same as "cheap", IMO). There's only one way to find out.

I think worst case scenario (and what some people did with the SSAC type manifolds) is bring the system to a local welder, and have them inspect it and reinforce some of the welds.

I was certainly pretty unimpressed with how my rather expensive AWE exhaust looked like after 18 months under my car...sadly sometimes you are just paying for the poor substitute of a name than an actual decent product.

I think quality would be better shown looking at the welds, not how the metal looks. in our climate no metal will be looking brand new after 12 months of being exposed.

i will be sure to post some pictures of the welds when it comes, and jordan will get to see it first hand when he tunes my car later. Even if it gets me a couple years i will be happy
