that post has the potential to start another flamewar!

I had APR in my allroad, and it felt nice. Too bad it was auto tranny. No torque.

Name a tuning company that gives you a flash cable. What company out there gives your the access to your ecu to tune and reflash your self. You buy Eurodyne, get a cable, flash ecu. all done. not this sending away the ecu stuff and waiting for it to come back and the possibility of it getting lost. And you Never have to spend a penny again.

                    We do.

BTW, more access to tune your own base maps doesn't mean that it's "better" for the average enthusiast. There is a reason that certain people are well-paid to write tunes- they're better at it than 99% of car owners.

I know a few vast owners that never got a Cable?? Im just saying if your going to pay for a tune its nice to have control on whats going on with it. How do you tune, Log the car, Email to Vast, wait a few days for a new file and try it, hmm thats slow..

The cable distribution is something that we are starting to offer as a company, VAST doesn't typically sell cables. The customer has control over what's going on with their car with VAST stuff, too. They can specify hardware setup, desired boost profile, fuel specs, altitude and other environmental variables, etc.

Different strokes for different folks. Some people want to screw with their tune themselves, while other people want to pay a professional to write them a tune that they know will work properly.
