Life is dandy sometimes.
My Dad finished mudding, taping and paiting (not to mention cleaning) the garage just in time to go away to work two weeks in and one out.
Like greased goose sh!t the Coupe goes into the garage onto stands. Wheels are off and now I'm getting a good look at the shape of the car underneath for the first time since buying it a year and a half ago.
Worn belts, a dirty leak somewhere on the far drivers side up front, stained rear differential, worn belts and corroded bolts on the suspension everywhere up front. Good times!!!
Here's the laundry list so far:
** front strut mounts
** motor mounts
** diff or tranny mounts (the dual purpose 034 ones)
** power steering pump
** belts
** antenna
** window regulators
** s/s brake lines, new pads and rotors, sandblast and paint calipers and dust shields black
** sandblast and paint control arms, new bushings
** full fluids swap
** recharge A/C
** thorough engine bay cleaning
I'm thinking about sandblasting or polishing the intake manifold... is it worth the hassle? I see it needs a bolt replaced, one's shorn itself off so I should probably redo the gasket anyways?
Also, what's the most direct way to disassemble the strut and brakes so I can take them apart and get the control arms and brakes apart for sandblasting?
