    Re: Q5 2.0T vs 3.2 - Opinions Please!

Love this forum - so much awesome input. I fell in love with the 3.2L originally but started to rethink the situation after I heard the 2.0T was coming out. However, being that I don't want to risk voiding the warranty and want the power, 3.2L is the one for me. Perhaps I'll get a 'toy' for my next car and do some serious mods! The Q5 is pretty enough on its own

I'd say get a diesel instead but then again I just checked the Canada Audi website and realised you can't buy the diesel here- Duh!!

I checked the weight against the Tiguan(2.0T) and the Q5 is about 159 Kg more in weight(I don't know if its the same kinda size though). So if you go for a test drive in the Tiguan and have two adults and a child with you (Or two very fat people), that might give you an idea of how the 2.0T engine will feel when you drive the Q5 alone.

Because of the Q5's weight I would lean towards the 3.2 rather than the 2.0T. Driving a 2.0T around all day might feel like the drive is like strangling a cat......

The 3.2 is a great fit for the Q5. The 2.0 was made available to bring entry pricing down so Audi could compete with some of the other CUVs out there.

Programming from Stasis isn't available yet for the Q5 (2.0 isn't out yet in the Q5 either) but I really don't see it being much of a wait as the A4 programming is already out. As for the warranty it is honored by Stasis when done at an approved dealership, which Royal Oak Audi will be in the next month (Just waiting on training).

The Touareg is built on the same platform as the Q7 so it is a full size not a compact and the diesel in it is awesome and silent.

Good luck with which ever you choose and if you haven't bought yet come up and see me and I'll see what I can do for you.
