So, I would like to place an order for a 2011 Q5 this month. Engine choices are 2.0T (211 HP, 258 tq) or 3.2 (270 HP, 243 tq). 2.0T is same engine as the A4.
-Fuel economy between the two is a toss up, so that won't sway my decision.
-I do a fair bit of winter driving to the mountains
-Plan to drive the car for 5+ years, so low maintenance a priority.
-Love the HP of the 3.2, so I'm a little gunshy of getting the 2.0T for a truck that weighs 4200lbs. Drove the A4 with the 2.0T and noticed some turbo lag, so would think it would be more exaggerated in the Q5.
-Just comparing factory engines - can't see myself chipping the 2.0T since I don't want to void the warranty.
I'm leaning toward the 3.2, but just wanted to hear some input from you experts!
