So my buddy just got his hands on a jdm rhd subaru wrx. We took our cars out for a spin, and he decided we should line em up just for shits and giggles. So I agreed and we found a nice open road outside the city. Did a couple rolling drag runs and absolutely destroyed his little 2.0L single turbo imprezza lol. Then we lined em up for a launch...bad idea..on my behalf. Launched my car at 5k and spun the **** out of the clutch omfg i hate myself. I actually shifted into second and gassed and spun it even more for what reason i dont know. After I realized what was happening, I pulled over to let the ***** cool down, popped hood smells like burnt fibers and welding HOLY F**K. Now my clutch engages like right at the end of the pedal...I hate myself. Did not see any leaking fluids of any sort and drove the car like a 90 year old all the way home...i hate myself. Gears shift ok no grinds or anything but clutch pedal is super stiff and snappy feeling, almost feels better but its obviously not. So i guess its stage 2 clutch now instead of suspension.

Re: All wheel drive launch gone bad!
I haven't done a clutch job myself, but in my old XR4Ti I replaced the stock clutch with a Centreforce. Got the job done at Mr. Transmission and they did a great job... ground the flywheel, new cutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing, and man that thing felt sooo solid afterwards... too bad I never got around to modding the engine at all.

Re: All wheel drive launch gone bad!
Just drive the car gently for a while and try and re-bed the clutch disk. If that doesn't work, PM me for some info about clutch setup options and installation tips and tricks.Jordan

Re: All wheel drive launch gone bad!
She be parked till thursday. Then I hope it can be ''re-bedded'' never really heard of that before, hope it works for me. Also where is the reservoir for the clutch master cylinder? It runs off the helix fluid too not dot 4 brake fluid or something like that...? Would it hurt to bleed it if its accessible?

Re: All wheel drive launch gone bad!
It uses the brake fluid reservoir. You don't need to bleed it. It uses DOT 4.Jordan

Re: All wheel drive launch gone bad!
I never seen a haldex blow up. The clutchs will slip before anything. My old Audi that made crazy power ( the old tapp auto car) never blew up the awd and it ran 10's.EURODYNE
